Duende Art Projects is delighted to present Hindsight, the second solo exhibition of Zimbabwean-born artist Raymond Fuyana (b. 1995). In these new paintings, Fuyana positions himself as both maker and witness, placing himself inside his imagined compositions. The artist appears as a recurring figure seen from behind, quietly contemplating the imagined realities he brings to life on canvas. Architectural fragments dissolve into lush African landscapes, gravity-defying forms drift through open windows, and vibrant colors infuse every detail with wonder and emotion. With his unique balance of realism and surrealism, the self-taught artist invites us to look over his shoulder and share in his personal perspective — stepping into a space where memories, emotions, and dreams intertwine, where hindsight is not a mirror of the past but a doorway into new possibilities of seeing and being.
